Monolithic Refractory Materials

Our monolithic refractory materials are unshaped materials supplied dry or semi-prepared and installed by casting, gunning, or hand placement, commonly used in furnaces, kilns, and burners where durability and easy repair are needed.

Plaster P

A fine refractory plaster designed for surface finishing and protection.

Applications:

  • Plastering of refractory surfaces
  • Furnace faces and access doors
  • General maintenance and patching

Key Features:

  • Smooth, clean finish
  • Easy to apply
  • Acts as a protective outer layer
  • Improves surface durability and appearance
  • Typically requires site mixing with water
  • Requires air drying before heat-up

SiC Castable

A silicon carbide-based castable designed for areas exposed to abrasion and high temperatures.

Applications:

  • Corner pockets
  • High-wear zones
  • Areas requiring strong, dense lining

Key Features:

  • Excellent abrasion resistance
  • High thermal conductivity
  • Strong mechanical performance
  • Suitable for demanding operating conditions
  • Requires site mixing
  • Requires curing and controlled dry-out before service

Quarlite

A lightweight insulating refractory containing vermiculite.

Applications:

  • Backup insulation layers
  • Areas where heat retention is critical
  • Reducing overall lining weight

Key Features:

  • Low density
  • Excellent insulation properties
  • Reduces heat loss
  • Improves energy efficiency

Mouldable

A versatile, hand-applied refractory material used where shaping and flexibility are required.

Applications:

  • Burner construction
  • Power station applications
  • Complex or irregular shapes

Key Features:

  • Easily moulded into required shapes
  • Good resistance to thermal shock
  • Suitable for detailed or custom installations
  • Strong bonding after setting
  • Supplied ready-to-use or requires light site mixing (depending on grade)
  • Requires air drying and gradual heat-up
  • Curing may be required depending on conditions

Quarlgun

A dry refractory material specifically developed for gunning applications.

Applications:

  • Backup insulation layers
  • Areas where heat retention is critical
  • Reducing overall lining weight

Key Features:

  • Low density
  • Excellent insulation properties
  • Reduces heat loss
  • Improves energy efficiency
